Hmmm... I've been commanded to update. So here I am.
The FOCUS ball was a blast. Von flicked food on her tango dress. Well, the ball wasn't fun because of that, I'm just saying... something. Anyway, Von wore her Shoes again, which would make it the 5th time. Which makes every wear around $20 each still. Urgh. That's not good. Must wear them some more. Good thing I love them. Because they cost too much for shoes and practically kill my feet while they're at it.

And um, yes. Holidays next week for 2 weeks. *victorious fist pump* One more term to go, then it's the summer! I can't wait! Even though Lynn will be away for ages. *blink* It's gonna be so odd. S'ok. Dot -- movie marathon? We have to. Yes, yes, we do.

My life at the moment:
- juggling the important with the unimportant, the interesting with the mundane, the need-to-dos with the want-to-dos
- FOCUS ball on Saturday
- choir on Saturday
- backup singing on Sunday
- test on Wednesday
- assessment items (argh! oral!) after the break
- being drained and not knowing how I'm going to take a day off to spend with God
- being mean to my friends and not being able to stop it
- being rejected a couple too many times
- being LOVED and knowing it by the way He can make me feel better with tweaking events in my life so that I get to see people I love
- procrastination and immense guilt
- making new friends and loving it
- the good and the bad all mixed into one = life
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory
that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the
sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not
by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the
creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the
glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of
childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have
the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our
adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved.
But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But
if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. -- Romans 8:18-25

Um, yeah.
I have nothing to report. Except that I finally finished Deathly Hallows (A receding hairline? A RECEDING HAIRLINE?! Who gives anyone a receding hairline as punishment? I know you never liked him, but DON'T TAKE HIS HAIR AWAY. It's a lie, a lie, I tell you.) and Faking It. I liked the latter better, mainly because I wasn't ploughing to it so that I'd be able to stop clapping my hands around my ears every time someone says'Potter'.
Excited about Mission Week next week. Hopefully all goes well and people come and they start thinking. Yay!
Tonight's the Law Ball and Weimin's birthday dinner. *cowers* I'm sorry! I just feel baaaaaaaad about spending that much money on a ball that is not my formal.
And I haven't done any Chinese work since the start of term. Scratch that. I haven't done much of any work since the start of term. Too busy. Will start now. Byebye!Labels: hp, reading, uni |
