more pictures for your amusement. i need to get the one of alex and i before the afterparty... hair was a lot nicer then...
dad, mum and von thank you to ling, mark and dan for dressing me up! ^_^ and for entertaining daniel... corsage *fights to not gush* alex and von from left to right: claire, ness, rachel, debbie, jasmine from left to right: angela, rachel, trudy, someone's date, priyam
thank you soooo much to everyone. nay for your clutch (which is nice and safe and clean), lynn for painting my nails, ling and mark for choosing my scent, daniel for keeping daniel occupied and happy, mum and dad for running around after me, the dateless losers' club for being my dates (exchanging saliva is overrated anyway. we so don't want to do that), james for sharing his froot loops *cringes at spelling of 'fruit'* with daniel. |

this is to clear up any confusion that joyce may have started yesterday -- james and i are NOT going out. NOT, you hear me? thank you. that is all.
*stops and grins at von sounding like a receptionist*
this has indeed been an interesting week and weekend. hope lynn had fun at idol. going to school now....
for nick (because he got it stuck into my head) and for someone else (just because):
some day, when i'm awfully low, when the world is cold, i will feel a glow just thinking of you and the way you look tonight
yes you're lovely, with your smile so warm and your cheeks so soft, there is nothing for me but to love you and the way you look tonight
with each word your tenderness grows, tearing my fear apart... and that laugh that wrinkles your nose, it touches my foolish heart.
lovely ... never, ever change. keep that breathless charm won't you please arrange it ? 'cause i love you ... just the way you look tonight.
yay for mum getting me the two towers and the return of the king. |

welcome to the state of "old grammarian"-ness, graduating class of 2006!!!
grad. was fun. i got to eat chocolate! :o i know, eh? and it wasn't even that swoonworthy. not to say that the chocolate "tart" with rum & raisin ice-cream wasn't yummy, but it wasn't pure chocolate. which doesn't make my knees buckle.
i can't believe that today was the last time i'd ever get to see the yr11s!!! and i haven't even done christmas cards because i'm just too lazy.
awards presentations etc. at grad. dinner today and had to sit through the whole list of what people got, *including* grad. certificate twice. twice, i tell you! not that i was listening the second time... or the first. whoops.
CONGRATS to jasmine for getting the principal's award; sareena for getting the old grammarian's prize; amy; charlene; and alice blain. you girls deserve all the praise you get! (sorry... don't actually remember the prizes because they have fancy names and my head's too fuzzy) to ariel (jap. prize); sophie (german prize) and bori (german embassy prize); jess (french prize) and zoe (oral excellence prize) -- we knew you could do it. well done!
i think i might have succeeded in killing my feet with my 2.5 inch heels. gonna *die* with 4-inch heels at formal. but.... pain for beauty, pain for beauty, pain for beauty. i'm sure the pictures will turn out awesome and will definitely post the best ones when i can get my head to stop chanting its mantra of 'bed, bed, bed'. |

not much to say.
school's out forever, scav. hunt was fun, but disastrous (the cops were pretty much following us around), pizza and dumpling making was a success, even if we made too much dough.
as you can see --> von is going to be a very busy girl... as well as very broke. :( |

*talking about scary things -- the grudge and chinese vampires* ariel: *jumps with fright* us: *raise eyebrows* ariel: my phone rang. and you know how in the grudge (?), you can see the boy under the table? well i was just looking and my phone vibrated. us: *nod slowly* ariel: *huffs* it was my mum. if she cared for my health, she wouldn't have called at such a critical time. |

assassiner |
things i've learnt this week:
- von turns homicidal when angry (and i mean really angry, not like "i told you to eat your dinner! why didn't you eat your dinner?!" type of angry)
- anger displays itself in its best form in angry yelling/ranting -- thank goodness it was mum watching with an amused smile at me rant at boys grammar and a certain authority figure who shall remain unnamed, and then spontaneously burst into tears after dying of lack of oxygen
- von has no means of obtaining poison... or anything flammable
- no matter what von does, someone will still think it's "cute"
- "von, that is so cute!" can add to the homicidal anger
- piano exam = fail
- muck up day + final house meetings + final SUIS meetings = absent
- when stressed and angry, von is quite hard to get along with, is quite snappy and even more snarky, and the word 'bloody' likes to insert itself between every word.
the smite list: - juniors (excluding some juniors, of course... they get a warning before the smiting starts)
- a little office adjoining the reception (with due warning to the occupants that i like)
- senior-less school
- boys school
- piano examiners
- jean-pierre jeunet and the master artists for their cleverness in making amélie
- composers
- stupid colours system (for lulu)
claire -- please don't worry. i'm fine. really. ^_^ |

[rant][/rant] |
I have decided that the current stress and general crankiness and apatheticness of the college students, and especially yr12s can be blamed, for the most part, on the boys' school.
Because of you, T1 was 11 weeks long, meaning that we lost all concentration at the end. Because of you, we had 2 weeks of nothing at the end of sem1/start of sem2. Because of that, our testing started earlier in T3. Because of you, our T4 is a whole 3 weeks and 4 days long and testing week starts next Friday.
Thanks guys, for screwing up our year. Have fun. When you least expect it, we'll come and get you. |

Yvonne a.k.a. Von, Mum, Che [姐](Dot), Dada[大大] (Dan), Vonnie, Yv (Ling), Vonnles (which is how Trudy spells it), Vonnals (which is how Jasmine spells it), Von Bon (Ann), Bon Bon (my grandma), Mommy (Nick, who is not very subtle with his hinting), ィヴォン, ボンボンちゃん
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, in your name I will lift up my hands
