AST trials today. i had so much free time!!! *gasps at the idea of free time* ah well. time to work work work.
had less than 5 mins of see you at the pole because the girls wanted to eat lunch first and then trials started again. so yes. just did opening prayer and then ran away. hope it went ok. i'll check with jess during our free tomorrow. i owe the girls chocolates anyway. got to get that organised.
reading love quotes in an attempt to find the one lynn showed me about the eskimos and their heaps of words for snow. even if i'm wasting a lot of time sifting through them, they're giving me warm fuzzies, which is good. better than head fuzzies in the morning.
arrrrgghhhh... i need to LEAVE! go somewhere for a week and die for a week - be uncontactable and FREE. zoe describes this as "she wants to be her own boss", although, really we were talking about travelling in europe. i have fernweh ("the desire to be somewhere distant) in abundance, which is typical Year 12 syndrome, i guess. but i don't particularly want to be off on an adventure, i just want... hygge (dutch word - "the feeling of good friends, cold beer and a warm fire", although i'd prefer no beer.) i guess i just want camp again, spoilt child that i am. or maybe i just need to scream.
and now i go back to english essay. maybe i should come up with a topic sentence soon. |
