sourire
sourire :: to smile, grin

yay! weekend! looking forward to the no school-ness, but also dreading the fullness of it during the time when i least want it to be full. i want maximum time at home so that i have time to bludge as well. but plus point is i don't have much time so i know that i can't waste what time i do have.

nay and miffy (is it myfi? she spells it myfi... maybe it's just her trying to make it look different. ah well, whatever it is..) have come up with awesome idea for sleepover in hall. wonder if it's always warm? maybe mrs t will let us hide out in the music centre, or better still in the choir closet like certain people (avril, claire and ali logan to name a few) are prone to do. if i had an excuse, i'd camp out there during my frees too. or i might turn into tessa and practice my japanese oral in one of the practice rooms because "there's no where else to do it!".

today was ok. in fact today and yesterday have been relatively un-hectic. although pd5 pulling out of doing chapel (they had a good reason, mind you) and sending kiera and i into a semi state of frantic preparation during thursday lunchtime wasn't too nice. ah well... what can you do? part of the job (together with the crazy performances during assembly, freezing out at the gates in the morning and picking up rubbish when no one else will do it)... not complaining. i love my job. really.

anyway, convinced frau schiessl in german to let us play the chair game instead of doing "real work", except the catch is, we had to ask questions about the topic we're doing - "health and the environment". "ummm... who... has... been sick before?!" *everyone stands up and there's this frantic rush to get to a chair and not be left in the middle* dangerous, dangerous game that. i still remember claire from last year. the chair game (which is like traditional yr 11/12 german class game, by the way) was lethal with last year's yr 12's.

easter service on tuesday and mr harris hasn't sent me the readings yet. physics people will be away on archimedes day (there's a picture of rads and kita at archimedes day in september last year on the maths board). don't know how that was relevant, though. i'm sure it was. hmmm... wonder if midge does physics? in which case i'll need to find another yr 12 reader.

anyway, french oral or english oral won't write itself (although i wish it would) so probably should do a bit of prodding... in other words, i should go write my orals now so i don't act like a headless chook the night before and a zombie the night after.

mr mcguigan says that every time he sees me i'm always smiling... is that true? cos i don't see it... i just don't see it... (oh dear... quoting from movies. should probably get more sleep)

O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, in your name I will lift up my hands psalm63.1-4
