adoucir

Elizabeth's spirits soon rising to playfulness again, she wanted Mr. Darcy to account for his having ever fallen in love with her.

'How could you begin?' said she.'I can comprehend your going on charmingly when you had once made a beginning; but what could set you off in the first place?'

'I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look, or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun.'

nothing much is really going on in my life - babysitting during the day, bumming and watching movies with dot at night. should really be prepping for english next semester, but can't seem to find motivation. also a couple of movies i should see for school - moulin rouge and amelie. might be helpful if i could find them. oh well.
i wanna see bbc pride and prejudice again, but should probably watch persuasion first. hmm... except the captain wentworth in that one - ciaran hines, maybe? - is definitely not better than mr darcy - mrs swayn! what were you thinking?! he's hideous! maybe the pictures are just bad. maybe he's much better when he is capt. wentworth. maybe
He was not Mr. Wentworth, the former curate of Monkford, however suspicious appearances may be, but a captain Frederick Wentworth, his brother, who being made commander in consequence of the action off St. Domingo, and not immediately employed, had come into Somersetshire, in the summer of 1806; and having no parent living, found a home for half a year, at Monkford.

He was, at that time, a remarkably fine young man, with a great deal of intelligence, spirit and brilliancy; and Anne an extremely pretty girl, with gentleness, modesty, taste and feeling. - Half the sum of attraction, on either side, might have been enough for he had nothing to do, and she had hardly any body to love; but the encounter of such lavish recommendations could not fail.

They were gradually acquainted, and when acquainted, rapidly and deeply in love. It would be difficult to say which had seen highest perfection in the other, or which had been the happiest; she, in receiving his declarations and proposals, or he in having them accepted.

O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, in your name I will lift up my hands psalm63.1-4
